- Discs are scratched more often: I bought two of the same game because there was a circle scratch on it.
- Technical problems: Even though the company announces that there is a 3-4% failure rate, there are articles estimating around 16.4-33% failure rates. My Xbox has recently encountered the infamous RROD( red ring of death; a problem with the hardware.)
- Online community: Out of every 10 games I played, around 8 of them had little children screaming in their microphones and hurling racist comments here and there. The other 2 games had no people or sane people talking.
- Online costs: It costs 50$ to maintain membership for a year for online gaming and is the only console that charges users to pay.
- Faulty accessories: I have gone through 2 microphones (20$ each) and two controllers(40$ each) so far. The two microphones snapped and the controllers disconnect on the slightest vibration.
- Download-able content: Microsoft sells Microsoft points to purchase download-able content(DLCs.) Other systems offer them for free, while one download-able content costs around 10$
